Alejandro Faurlin is NOT on trial with Fulham this week - but the ex- QPR midfielder has been training with them and it could lead to a permanent contract, says his agent.

Lucas Cominelli revealed the Rs fans favourite released at the end of the season after seven campaigns at Loftus Road, wanted the right environment to get fully fit - and Whites offered that chance.

Fulham's chief football officer Mike Rigg was with Faurlin at QPR, and knows all the Argentine winger can bring to a side, so 'trial' is wide of the mark, added Cominelli.

Irons in the fire

But Faurlin is not averse to sticking around at Fulham a lot longer, if the chance arises - although the 29-year-old has other irons in the fire, and almost certainly one of them is Brentford.

Cominelli added: "Alejandro would like to stay in London, and the system at Fulham would suit him well.

"It's a bit early to say whether they want to take him permanently, but there is a another London Championship club interested and one outside London.

"At the moment, he is just focusing on his training, and he's very fit."

As there are only three Capital clubs in the second tier this season, and two of them are Rangers and Fulham - it leaves only the Bees - just around the corner from Faurlin's Chiswick home, where he has raised a family.
