There have been questions surrounding Brentford star man Jota's future all summer.

And that speculation will only intensify this afternoon after he was left out of the squad to play Lausanne Sport in Switzerland.

The Spanish star has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer, with the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and West Ham all interested in signing him.

Fellow Championship side Derby County are also interested, but the Bees have maintained a hard line, saying their biggest asset is not for sale.

Jota was left out of the squad to play Aldershot Town in their first friendly just over a week ago, after rumours of an imminent bid , and now, following a week of training in France, the 26-year-old is now missing from their pre-season clash with Lausanne-Sport.
