Emiliano Marcondes has become a fans' favourite at Brentford before he has kicked a ball in anger for the club.

The club announced on Friday night that the FC Nordsjælland attacking midfielder had signed a pre-contract agreement to move to Griffin Park in January.

The 22-year-old has already become a popular figure on social media by saying what he thought of Brentford's west London rivals Fulham – his answer is what the Bees supporters hoped to hear.

And he even used the hashtag #whatdowethinkoffulham after the club announced his signing.

Speaking about the deal, Brentford head coach Dean Smith told the club's official website: “I am very pleased with the acquisition of Emiliano. He is another talented player to add to the group and he comes with a lot of potential.

“We have a good knowledge of Danish football and we feel that Emiliano can progress further with us.

“His signing is another indication of us looking towards the future and preparing for what’s to come this season and beyond.”
