AFC Wimbledon have shown an interest in former Millwall and Brentford full-back Scott Barron.

The 28-year-old was among four players released by the Bees at the end of the campaign after an injury-ravaged spell at Griffin Park.

Barron, who can play in defence or on the flank, was restricted to just 22 games during his two-season stint in west London due to a niggling hip problem.

Dons boss Neal Ardley is on the lookout for a new left-back following the departures of Jim Fenlon and Callum Kennedy.

And Get West London understands Barron is one of a number of options the Kingsmeadow chief is considering as he shapes his squad for the new campaign.
