Neal Ardley admits AFC Wimbledon could lose Matt Tubbs in January.

The Bournemouth hotshot has smashed nine goals in 20 games since joining the Dons on a season-long loan spell in the summer.

However, the Cherries can recall the 29-year-old when the transfer window re-opens in the new year.

And Ardley is pulling out all the stops to ensure there's no repeat of last campaign when star striker Michael Smith returned to Charlton.

He said: “There’s always a risk when they’re not your players, but I can assure you we are doing everything we can to keep Matt Tubbs happy. He’s as good a goalscorer that I’ve seen at this level."
