Brentford striker Nick Proschwitz has joined Coventry City on loan.

The 28-year-old signed for the Bees at the start of the season but has fallen way down the pecking order at Griffin Park.

His last appearance for the Championship club came on Boxing Day, in a 4-2 defeat to Ipswich Town, and the German has not featured in any matchday squads since.

Mark Warburton yesterday revealed the striker was set to leave on loan following the club’s decision to extend Chris Long’s stay at the club.

Coventry and Brentford have today confirmed the former Tigers man will spend the remainder of the campaign at the Ricoh Arena.
