Barnet are holding talks with midfielders Mark Byrne and Curtis Weston over new contracts at the Hive.

Discussions are ongoing with the duo as Martin Allen attempts to keep the pair at the club, with the pair both out of contract this summer and free to look elsewhere.

Byrne is in Ireland following a family bereavement, putting talks on hold until he returns, while powerhouse Weston is considering his options.

“Mark Byrne is out of contract but we will be offering him a new deal at the club when he returns from Dublin following a family bereavement,” Bees boss Allen said.

“Talks are currently ongoing with Curtis with a view to him signing a new deal; however both parties are currently looking at their options.”

Barnet are holding fire on whether to take up the option in Mauro Vilhete’s contract and Allen says he will not be rushed into a decision.

Transfer listed: Jake Hyde

"Mauro has an option in his contract but as of today I am undecided whether to take Mauro on for another year," Allen stated. "We don’t have to make a final decision until May 10th and I will be taking the time to think about it.”

Graham Stack, David Stephens, Elliot Johnson, Andy Yiadom, Luisma Villa, Luke Gambin, Iffy Allen and George Sykes are all contracted for next season.

Keanu Marsh-Brown and Jake Hyde have been placed on the transfer list.

The duo are two of Barnet’s star players but Allen will listen to offers for the pair this summer.

Meanwhile, Nick Jupp is among four more players shown the door by the Bees this week.

Jon Nurse, Jack Saville, Kieron Cadogan and James Harper were all told last week they were being released, while Jupp, Freddie Warren, Ahmed Abdulla and Harry Crawford have also been deemed surplus to requirements.
