Clint Hill will leave QPR this summer after the club elected not to renew his contract, GetWestLondon understands.

The Rangers man has been a popular figure at Loftus Road and has been a consistent presence despite several turbulent seasons.

Hill was a steady figure in the years where QPR had several players with poor attitudes and his commitment to the club won him the respect of the fans.

While the 37-year-old still plays in a wholehearted manner, his age has also caught up on him and, after making 40 appearances in the Championship in 2013/14, he has only made 32 in the following two.

Injuries restricted him to just 13 appearances for Hoops this season and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has decided that he is not part of his plans.

Overall, Hill has made 169 appearances and scored five goals for the club. The defender should have had a sixth when his header at Bolton in 2012 crossed the line but, incredibly, wasn't given by the match officials.
