Chelsea are refusing to budge on their £8m valuation of left-back Ryan Bertrand amid increased interest from Liverpool and Tottenham.

The 24-year-old defender spent last season on loan at Aston Villa where he made 14 appearances for the club.

Liverpool have already had a £6m bid rejected by the Blues while Spurs also have Bertrand firmly on their radar, according to the Telegraph.

The Merseyside outfit could test the Blues resolve though by coming back with a higher offer that includes add-ons.

Bertrand joined Chelsea in July 2005 from Gillingham and has made 28 appearances without finding the net.

He has previously also had loan spells at Bournemouth, Oldham Athletic, Norwich City, Reading and Nottingham Forest.
