New Chelsea signing Loic Remy still does not know why his move to Liverpool fell through.

The French striker looked set to complete a move from Queens Park Rangers this summer after the two clubs agreed a deal.

Remy travelled to the United States to finalise his move but at the 11th hour the Reds pulled the plug.

Sources on Merseyside claimed the deal collapsed on medical grounds but Remy remains unclear why his transfer was stopped.

“I did not understand myself,” he said. “A problem during the medical examination? I do not know.

“They put it, that must be it,’ he said.”

Remy moved to Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea after the west London club met his release clause before the end of the transfer window.
