QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is considering a January loan swoop for Chelsea starlet Charly Musonda.

Musona penned a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge in March but has become frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities.

The talented youngster appeared to confirm he would be heading out to gain experience when he took to Instagram earlier this month.

He wrote: “Enjoyed playing youth football at Chelsea by winning titles and creating some unforgettable memories in the process.

“It's now time to take the next step to continue my progression on loan and develop furthermore towards becoming one of the very best one day at Chelsea. With hard work and dedication I believe I can, and I'm very excited."

The post, which was accompanied by a collage of trophy-laden images of his time at the club, was later deleted by the player.

New Hoops boss Hasselbaink, who spent many successful years leading the line for Chelsea, is now reportedly weighing up a move for the teenager.

He watched Musonda in U21s action against Middlesbrough on Monday and the Daily Mirror suggest Musonda is near the top of his priority list this winter.

Monaco have reportedly seen interested rebuffed in the youngster in the past and several other clubs across Europe are monitoring the situation.
