Chelsea look set for a busy January transfer window after their worst start to a season since Roman Abramovich took control of the club in 2003.

Rumours are already flying about who the Blues might try to sign to resurrect their Premier League campaign and boost their chances in Europe.

A new striker seem to be linked with the club every day as the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani, Alexandre Lacazette and West Brom’s Saido Berahino have all been mentioned.

But in order to free up some room in his squad, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho may have to wave goodbye to some of his underperforming stars.

Rumoured Chelsea transfer targets for January 2016 in pictures:

Radamel Falcao, although only on loan, could be shown the door and sent back to Monaco after failing to prove himself in England.

Branislav Ivanovic is entering the final months of his contract and the champions could decide to sell the Serbian defender before they risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Even Diego Costa, the man who fired the Blues to the title last season, has been subject to transfer speculation as a lack of goals and on-the-field controversy have seen him attract negative headlines.

Could Chelsea really let him go this winter? And what about Oscar, who has been linked with Juventus of late?
