Chelsea fans have been sharing their favourite Petr Cech memories on Twitter and his performance in the 2012 Champions League final remains a firm favourite among Blues fans.

The 33-year-old agreed a deal to move across London to Arsenal having won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, a Europa League and that famous Champions League win.

In the final, Cech saved penalties from Arjen Robben in extra time before denying Ivica Olic and Bastian Schweinsteiger to win the trophy for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

This was after he continued to pull the wool over Lionel Messi's eyes in the semi final as the Argentine wizard failed to score against him.

The goalkeeper suffered a severe head injury in 2006 after a collision with Stephen Hunt and the way he came back from that blow is also given due reference.

The Czech Republic international also made superb saves from Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez and these have also been heavily mentioned.

But, for some, it was not the saves but the way he conducted himself as a person on and off the pitch that stood out.

Some are unhappy at him moving to Arsenal and refuse to put him in the same league as John Terry and Didier Drogba, although they were able to remark on the Gunners' run without a Premier League title.
