Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Brazilian teenager Nathan Allan de Souza.
The 19-year-old is thought to be in London for a medical ahead of a £4.5million switch to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Paranaense.
He starred for his country at the 2013 U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and put Europe’s elite teams on red alert.
Any move would be subject to Home Office approval on a work permit for the U20 international.
Jose Mourinho's side already have Samba stars Willian, Ramires, Filipe Luis and Oscar in their ranks while Lucas Piazon are out on loan.
The pursuit of Nathan follows last week’s news that Chelsea have lodged a bid for FC Tokyo forward Yoshinori Muto.
The J League club have confirmed an offer has been made and the Blues are expected to be willing to pay around £4million for the international.
FC Tokyo president Naoki Ogane said: “It is true that Chelsea sent us an offer for Muto. It is a formal offer with conditions. They want to acquire him in the summer.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday night against Manchester United.
