Chelsea shut the door on their transfer activity on July 31 rather than at the end of this month, insists Jose Mourinho.
The Blues boss reckons there will be no ‘tick-tock’, as he put it, counting down to midnight next week waiting for a last-minute signing.
Mourinho said: “Petr? A total professional. He’s been working as always this week, and his behaviour, fantastic.”
“At the moment (being left out) might be difficult for some, but when there are three matches a week, different competitions, and each as important as the other, with rotation; it’s easer for me and easier for them.”
Mourinho declared a clean bill of health for his squad, but promised that Leicester City tomorrow at The Bridge would be no pushover, despite facing their second promotion club on the bounce.
The manager added: “It’s going to be difficult. They come with a winning mentality as champions last season.”
