Hayes & Yeading starlets Dylan Kearney and Matty Sinclair are attracting interest from a Championship club.

The duo came off the bench against Gosport in the final game of the season to help turn a 2-1 deficit into a thumping 5-2 victory.

Kearney scored twice in less than half-an-hour on the field and has previously been linked with QPR.

He was at it again in a behind-closed-doors game at the un-named Championship last week as he plundered a hat-trick and Sinclair netted a penalty.

United’s director of football Tristan Lewis said: "In last few seasons where we have put a huge emphasis on not only developing but investing and securing our own talent

“We won't see the full bearing of fruit from that structural change for a number of seasons but Dylan and Matty have proven that we know how to develop and nurture talent here by making their mark in the first team.

Vision for the future: Tristan Lewis

“It’s no surprise to me or anyone inside the club that these lads are attracting interest. Our U18s have been superb to watch, and, with the boys now putting down a marker in senior football, it shows our club has a belief in our own

“We hope they will be helping us get back where we want to be - in the National League. We now have teams at the club from U8s to U16s.

“A big overhaul of that system is planned for this summer to follow the U18s’ lead, showing the club certainly are making a big effort not only to get back home, but develop their own home-grown talent too.”

United are now giving youngsters the opportunity to join them on the road to professional football.

This Friday, Hayes and Yeading’s youth sides are holding open trials at the Skyex Stadium from 6pm till 7.30pm for boys and girls from U8s to U16s.

Players and players can register for the free trials via www.unitedselect.co.uk or email info@unitedselect.co.uk for further details.
