Bristol City have signed Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old had been in talks with Burton Albion over a loan move there, having spent half of last season at the club, but Bristol have won the race for his signature.

Woodrow, who featured in the Euro U21 Championships with England this summer, scored five goals in the Championship for Burton last season and Bristol have made the move to secure the striker with the hope that he will replace some of the goals the side lost when Tammy Abraham returned to Chelsea after his loan spell.

The move leaves Fulham with only one forward at the club in the shape of Aboubakar Kamara, although Braga forward Rui Fonte looks set to make the move to Craven Cottage imminently.
