Steve Coterill has remained silent about Bristol City's attempts to sign Andre Gray from Brentford but Hull are yet to give up in their pursuit of signing the striker.

The Bees have accepted a £9million bid from the Robins for their striker, who scored 18 goals last season and allowed the former Luton man to talk to the west country club.

City remain in talks with Gray over what would be a record purchase for the club and a record sale for Brentford, who are looking for reinforcements.

But Cotterill declined to elaborate on the potential transfer, simply saying: "There's nothing more to talk about on that one."

Hull remain interested on signing the striker, and have had two bids rejected in the past weeks before having one accepted and then owner Assem Allam pulling the plug on the deal, and Steve Bruce admitted as such in his post-match press conference.

He said after their 2-1 win over Fulham: "No (we've not ended our interest). But whether we revisit it, you are asking the wrong person."
