The transfer window is entering it's final 60 hours with teams around the country looking to do last minute deals.

All eyes will be on the exit door at Brentford, rather than the entry one, with Jota and Harlee Dean both linked with moves away.

West Ham, Fulham, Middlesbrough and Hull have all expressed an interest in the Spaniard, with the latter two seeing bids rejected.

Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with the centre back, with the Blues reportedly preparing a £2m bid.

As for incomings, it has all be quiet on that front with Dean Smith repeatedly saying he is happy with his squad.

Below, GetWestLondon has produced a handy guide as to what to expect from the remaining hours of the transfer window.

What will Brentford be hoping for?

The window to slam shut as quickly as possible. The Bees are happy with the squad they've got and the only question, at this moment in time, is whether there will be any outgoings.

Could there be any further new faces?

On a first team perspective, there will be no new faces unless Jota or Harlee Dean leave. Brentford have been preparing for such an eventuality and have targets in mind should the pair, or any other player, leave in the next 48 or so hours.

Will any players leave?

Jota

Brentford's policy when it comes to selling players has been consistent over the last few years. If a club matches the Bees' valuation then the club will accept an offer. It is then down to whether the player wants to sign for that particular club.

It is worth remembering that both Jota and Harlee Dean are into the final year of their contracts and, with no agreement near, could well leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Brentford aren't keen to lose their best players for nothing so would rather cash in now than see that situation take place.

The last player who left the club after his contract expired for a team in the same division was Clayton Donaldson in 2014.

Will Jota sign for a Championship club?

Dean Smith said that Jota didn't want to play against Brentford so would only make a move to the Premier League in early July.

That was when an imminent bid, believed to be from West Ham, was expected. Had that materialised, and met Brentford's valuation, then Jota would be with the Premier League strugglers right now.

That being said, if a Championship club, even if it is Fulham, makes the right contract offer then the likelihood is he will accept and leave the club.

Would Brentford do a deal with their west London rivals? History suggests that they would after David Button went down the Thames to Craven Cottage last summer.

What about Harlee Dean?

Harlee Dean

The situation is similar to Jota's in that the centre back is in the final year of his contract and the two parties are, seemingly, some way off an agreement.

Despite being seen by many as the best leader at the club, the contractual situation saw the captaincy being handed to John Egan and Nico Yennaris.

If the right offer comes in, then Dean is expected to leave.

What happened to loyalty in football?

I see some fans question why a player would want to leave and question the loyalty of a player.

For me, that's rubbish. Both Dean and Jota are 26 and, at that age, it is the chance for them to set themselves up, financially, for life.

The likelihood is the pair will not have retired from playing in 10, or so, years time.
