Brentford are leading the race for Sergi Canos with Leeds and Bristol City also interested in the Norwich forward.

The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Griffin Park from Liverpool and became a fans' favourite with his all action performances.

Canos, who has found game time limited at Carrow Road, loved his time in west London and has put out a 21st century come and get me plea with his Twitter activity, liking several social media posts related to the Bees.

Brentford have also not given up their pursuit of Coventry midfielder Ben Stevenson.

The Bees have reportedly had two offers turned down for the 19-year-old, who they believe can give the midfield some added steel.

Scott Hogan celebrates a goal

The Scott Hogan transfer saga is still ongoing with the west Londoners willing to do a deal, but only if West Ham come suitably close to Brentford's valuation. Three offers have been knocked back by the Bees.

The striker has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League sooner rather than later but any deal must be enough with Rochdale likely to receive a quarter of the fee.

Brentford have drawn up a shortlist of replacements with Barnsley's Sam Winnall featuring among them.

The Bees have been made favourites to sign Ross McCormack but a move for the Aston Villa striker appears highly unlikely, given the club's policy of signing young players who have a greater resale value.
