Will Grigg insists he's fully committed to Brentford amid reports linking him with a move to Bristol City.

The Bees striker bagged just five goals in his debut season at Griffin Park and is a target for the League One outfit.

Grigg, who has so far cost £405,000 in compensation since his switch from Walsall last summer, still has two years remaining on his contract and is part of Mark Warburton's plans.

And the Northern Ireland international has rubbished rumours that he could be on his way out of west London this summer.

He said: "I haven't heard anything. At this time of year there's always bits of speculation flying around.

"I still have two years left on my contract and am a Brentford player.

"I've come back fit and raring to go. I'm relishing the challenge of being in the Championship."

Grigg was restricted to just 17 starts in all competitions, with niggling injuries and international duty hampering his progress.

Slow burner: Grigg scored just five goals during his debut season with the Bees

However, the 22-year-old, who is the with the first-team squad on their pre-season training camp in the US this week, is ready to scrap for his spot in TW8.

"I didn't play as often as I would have liked last season," Grigg said, "and scoring only five goals wasn't my aim.

"It was difficult, having started 40 games for Walsall the previous year. It was stop-start, especially with me missing games due to international duty.

"But I'm ready to go again and want to make sure I get a good pre-season under my belt."

International ambitions: Grigg wants to add to his five caps for Northern Ireland

Grigg fell out of favour under Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill due to his lack of game time in TW8.

However, with the added bonus of international breaks, the former Saddlers frontman is hoping for a recall.

He added: "I was left out of one of the squads. It was the first time in three years that I wasn't involved but the manager said I wasn't match fit, so I couldn't argue with that.

"Hopefully I can force my way back in. I need to be playing well at club level and the rest will take care of itself."
