Brentford have confirmed the sale of Maxime Colin to Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee.

The defender joins the Blues on a four-year contract.

The Frenchman will be the third player to move to the west Midlands in just over 24 hours, following centre back Harlee Dean and winger Jota.

Speaking of Colin's departure, manager Dean Smith said: "We are disappointed to lose Maxime. He has been a consistent performer for us over the past 18 months but with his value being met, he made the decision to leave. We wish him well for his future career”.

Colin first moved to Griffin Park in the summer of 2015 and his season was interrupted by injuries.

He made 66 appearances for the Bees since joining the club.
