Dean Smith will continue to looking at giving Emmanuel Onariase game time out on loan from Brentford.

The former West Ham man spent the latter half of last season at Cheltenham Town and impressed Robins boss Gary Johnson.

With Harlee Dean, Andreas Bjelland, John Egan and Yoann Barbet ahead of him in the pecking order it will be difficult for the centre back to get first team football so a temporary move away seems a likely outcome.

Smith said: “That's something we'll look at. He had a successful loan period at Cheltenham. Gary Johnson was impressed.

“We've got four good centre halves and it's hard that he's not been able to play in his own position. He's done well in training so we'll look to get him out on loan so he can keep impressing.”
