Marinus Dijkhuizen will look to exploit the loan market to bring 'one or two' Premier League youngsters to Brentford next season.

Last season, the Bees had Alex Pritchard, Chris Long and Jon Toral on loan from Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal respectively.

Pritchard overcame an inconsistent start to be the shining star towards the end of the season and won the players' player of the season award.

Long produced some good performances in the second half of the season but an injury led to him missing out in the run-in and the first leg of the play-offs against Middlesbrough.

Toral was predominantly used as a substitute and scored a hat-trick against Blackpool in the 4-0 win in February.

Dijkhuizen's former club Excelsior had a partnership with Feyenoord and enjoyed having their young players on loan before ending the deal.

“Brentford have to be in charge of the loan. Sometimes to get really good quality from big clubs then I think it's good for both.”
