Brentford have rekindled their interest in Bristol Rovers defender Tom Parkes.

Bees boss Mark Warburton is hopeful of adding as many as three new faces to his newly-promoted squad in the next few weeks.

On Warburton's summer shopping list is a left-sided defender, box-to-box midfielder and a striker as he tries to bolster his ranks for the Championship campaign.

Brentford looked at Parkes last summer but failed to follow up their interest with a concrete offer.

However, the 22-year-old, who came through the same Leicester City academy side as Warburton's son, Jack, has continued to catch the eye for the Gas this term.

Parkes still has two years to run on his deal at the Memorial Ground, where he has racked up more than 100 appearances.
