Brentford have extended the loan of Chelsea midfielder George Saville for the rest of the season.

The Blues youngster has impressed in the first half of the season, scoring three goals in 22 games for the Bees, but his initial spell came to an end over the weekend.

However, Chelsea have agreed to let Saville continue his development with the League One leaders.

Meanwhile, Fulham frontman Marcello Trotta is also expected to stay at Brentford for the remainder of the campaign.

The 21-year-old has scored seven goals in 20 games for the Bees, but several clubs from Italy's Serie B have joined the battle for his signature.

However, the young striker is poised to remain at Griffin Park to help the promotion push.
