Brentford defender made available for loan

Bees willing to listen to offers for left-back Barron

Out of favour: Brentford left-back Scott Barron

Brentford are willing to let defender Scott Barron go out on loan to get regular first-team football.

The former Millwall full-back hasn't featured since the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against AFC Wimbledon in September after suffering a recurrence of the hip problem that ruled him out of the final few months of last season.

However, the 28-year-old is back in full training and returned to the first-team squad for Saturday's victory against Port Vale.

Barron built up his fitness with a 70-minute run out for the reserves in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town - his first game since October.

And boss Mark Warburton will listen to loan offers for the defender, who is behind Jake Bidwell in the Griffin Park pecking order.
