Brentford have made defender Scott Barron available for loan.

The former Millwall full-back has featured five times for the Bees this season, but the return to fitness of Jake Bidwell has forced him back down the pecking order.

And boss Uwe Rosler has revealed they want to loan out the 28-year-old to get regular playing time.

He said: “Jake Bidwell has done well since he came back from injury, and we also have the option to play Tony Craig at left-back.

“I had a chat with Scott. He’s a top professional and wants to play.

“We’re both looking at options for him in the loan market to get him competitive games.”

The Bees also want to loan out young midfielder Jake Reeves, who has slipped out of the squad in recent weeks after Jonathan Douglas returned to the fold following a long injury lay-off.
