Brentford have this evening announced the signing of striker Neal Maupay from Saint-Etienne.
The 20-year-old emerged as a Bees target earlier this week, with reports in France last night suggesting a deal was close .
And those reports have been proved right as the Frenchman has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at griffin Park this evening.
Maupay, who came through the ranks at Nice and scored against Brentford in a pre-season friendly in 2014, will link up with his new team-mates in training next week upon their return from Switzerland.
Maupay, who has been capped by France at U16, U17, U19 and U21 level, was most recently on loan with Stade Brestois in Ligue 2 last season, where he scored 11 goals.
Manager Dean Smith told the club's official website: "He is a player that we have been tracking for a long while. He fits all the profiles we set when we look for a player. He has a really good personality and character to go with his skill level. We are very lucky to have got him and I look forward to working with him."
