Brentford boss Mark Warburton is hoping to add a new striker to his squad in time for Saturday's clash with Charlton.
The Bees have made seven summer signings following promotion from the League One but Warburton wants to strengthen further in time for the Championship opener at the weekend.
The Griffin Park chief is short of options through the middle after an ankle injury to new arrival Scott Hogan, with Andre Gray the only recognised striker.
However, Warburton is confident of getting another body through the door before the end of the week to boost his firepower.
He said: "We hope to have one or two in this week if it's the right person who adds value.
"We will never bring a player in just to make up numbers. It's all about adding to what we have. It's a good quality squad."
