Brentford are close to agreeing a deal with FC Nordsjaelland Emiliano Marcondes, according to Danish site Bold.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is out of contract at the Danish side at the end of the year and it has been reported that the Bees are close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement.

However, they are keen to bring Marcondes to Griffin Park this summer and are in negotiations to bring him to west London this summer.

Brentford have four Danes in their first team squad already; Lasse Vibe, Andreas Bjelland, Henrik Dalsgaard and Justin Shaibu.

Brondby were also interested in making a move and reports in Denmark have suggested that Marcondes has held talks with them.

He played 86 minutes in Nordsjaelland's 2-1 win over OB on Monday in their season opener.

A deal would take Brentford's total signings up to six after Dalsgaard, Luke Daniels, Kamo Mokotjo, Neal Maupay and Ollie Watkins.
