Brentford fans should be delighted with the signings the club has already made rather than wanting more.

So said Bees boss Mark Warburton when asked if he intended to do any more business before the transfer window slams shut on Monday night.

Warburton has already made 10 new signings this summer in an attempt to get his squad up to scratch for Championship football.

He said: “I keep being asked about more players in. People forget we brought in Andre Gray, Scott Hogan, Alan Judge, Nick Proschwitz, Alex Pritchard, Tommy Smith, Moses Odubajo, Marcos Tebar, Jota and Jon Toral.

New face: Nick Proschwitz was one if 10 new signings for Brentord this summer

“That’s not bad business, and people should be saying credit to the recruitment department. It feels like we haven’t signed anyone. I’m amazed at that fact.”

Warburton also believes his new look Brentford squad are adapting well to life at this level, ahead of their visit to Rotherham tomorrow.

He added: “We’ve got some good players. They will take a little bit of time to get to know each other. The first couple of games was getting used to the division. The players needed that self belief, and are we good enough to impact this division. They just want to find their feet.

“But I think we’ve got to recognise that every game is important – we can’t say it’ll be all right by January. We’ve been preparing for Fulham, and now we only focus on Rotherham.”
