Dean Smith revealed yesterday, following Brentford's pre-season friendly draw with Southampton, that there had been "no offers" for Jota .

The Spanish ace has been the subject of much speculation this summer, with a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing him.

Newcastle United, Burnley, Everton and Derby County have all been linked with an £8 million move for the 25-year-old, but the Bees have yet to receive a formal offer.

Another club have also been credited with an interest - West Ham - and it is the London Stadium where the bookmakers believe Jota will be plying his trade next season.

The Hammers are now odds-on favourites to sign the Spaniard, with the odds on him joining Slaven Bilic's men tumbling in the last 24 hours.

West Ham are now 1/2 on to sign Jota, with the midfielder only 9/4 to stay at Griffin Park. Newcastle, who have previously cooled their interest, are 5/1.
