Besiktas are hoping to conclude a deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

The Black Eagles are on the lookout for a new forward after selling Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua for €13million last week.

Jose Mourinho has taken Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan deal which pushes Frenchman Remy further down the pecking order.

The 28-year-old has been tracked by Crystal Palace, Swansea and West Ham this summer but Mourinho would prefer the player to move abroad if he does leave.

Reports in Turkey suggest Besiktas could offer Remy an escape route and a loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer has been mooted.

Besiktas manager Senol Gunes, who replaced new Hammers boss Slaven Bilic, said: “We are on the look out for a new striker following Demba’s request to leave us.”

Remy only joined the Blues last season from QPR but was restricted to cameos from the bench as Diego Costa cemented his place as the club’s main sharpshooter.
