Brentford are closing in on the signing of Blackburn Rovers winger Alan Judge.

The Irishman scored seven goals in 22 games during a successful loan spell with the Bees last season, including the penalty that clinched promotion to the Championship.

Boss Mark Warburton is keen to tie the 25-year-old to a permanent deal at Griffin Park as he strengthens his squad during the close season.

And the west Londoners are on the verge of completing a move for former Notts County man Judge, who still has two years to run on his contract at Ewood Park.

Warburton is also in talks to sign Marcello Trotta and George Saville, who both impressed during temporary spells at the club last campaign.
