Remember the strange cases of Joey Beauchamp and David Unsworth? Well, Barnet now have their very own homesick hero.

Beauchamp infamously left West Ham for Swindon without playing a game for the Hammers in 2004, lasting just 58 days at the club before deciding he couldn't stand the commute from Oxfordshire.

Unsworth then repeated the trick four years later, lasting less than a month at Aston Villa before rejoining first club Everton after again deciding sitting in commuter traffic was not for him.

Following in their foosteps, summer signing Dan Bradley has left Barnet to return to his former club after just two months with the Bees.

Bradley agreed to join the Bees in May, but has since left the club and re-joined Conference rivals Alfreton without playing a game following a change of heart.

The England C midfielder has signed a new two-year contract with the Derbyshire club and featured in their friendly against Walsall last week, but they are still waiting on the transfer forms from Barnet to officially seal the move.

Explaining his swift departure from Barnet, Birmingham-based Bradley said he had not realised he was expected to relocate to London on a full-time basis, telling Bees boss Martin Allen he had made a mistake.

No firm offers: Keanu Marsh-Brown (right) in action for Barnet against Hayes & Yeading

Meanwhile, Allen has revealed Barnet have had plenty of interest in Keanu Marsh-Brown, but no firm offers yet for the former Oldham and Yeovil midfielder.

“With regards to Keanu, we have had enquiries from other clubs, but as yet we have had no significant offer, and so from my point of view he is staying,” Allen told the club's website.

“Obviously, should we receive a significant offer and the player would want to increase his wages, then that would be a consideration for the Chairman to make that decision.

“But at the moment he is happy here, he is really looking forward to the season and he told me that he wants to be part of a successful team here at Barnet, which I was delighted to hear.”
