Barnet manager Martin Allen has made three of his squad available for January transfers.

Ben Tomlinson, Andy Yiadom and Mauro Vilhete have all been told they can leave the Hive this month.

Yiadom has turned down the club’s offer of a new contract and the Bees have decided to try and cash in now or lose the wide-man for nothing in the summer.

Vilhete has been deemed surplus to requirements by the boss as he turns to younger players to lead the League Two charge.

Allen said: “This morning we have made Andy Yiadom and Mauro Vilhete available for transfer.

“We have offered Andy a new contract which he has rejected. As he is out of contract this summer, we felt that it was best to make Andy available now.

“He has been inspirational and has not only been an excellent player, but is a great person. He has a good character, an excellent work ethic, and a desire to better himself.

“He will be sadly missed, but we have to evolve and move on.

“With Mauro it is a very difficult decision, as once again he played a significant part in our championship winning team.

“The step up has seen us, in my opinion, doing ok. But I want to step up again, and opportunities for Mauro would be limited.

“I am now committed to developing and bringing through the next group of young players. Their pathway must be clear for the next 18 months to secure their places in the first team squad.

“Mauro is a lovely person – honest, hardworking, and very professional. Again it is a tough decision and a difficult one for me personally.

Tomlinson, who has been on loan at Tranmere Rovers, will return to Barnet on Monday and begin the search for a new club.
