Barnet have completed the signing of Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro after leaving Shrewsbury.

The Toulouse-born striker helped the Shrews to promotion from the fourth tier in 2014/15, before avoiding relegation back to League Two last season.

In total, he scored 16 goals in 95 starts for the Shropshire club with over half of them being starts.

The 31-year-old started his career at Toulouse FC – playing 40 times and was called up to the France Under 18 squad.

He started his career in English football in 2008 and eight goals in 60 games for Grimsby Town earnt the forward a move to League One Rochdale in 2010. Dale achieved a ninth place finish while Akpa-Akpro was at the club.

He has had a loan spell at Bury and a permanent stay at Tranmere Rovers since his exit from Spotland.

He joined Shrewsbury in July 2014.
