Jamaican international Jamal Campbell-Ryce has signed for Barnet following his release by Sheffield United.

The 33-year-old forward is vastly experienced having represented 11 Football League sides throughout his career.

He has been looking for a club since leaving Bramall Lane this summer and has dropped down to League Two to sign for Martin Allen’s Bees.

He has spent the past year on loan spells at Notts County and Chesterfield after failing to cement a place in the United team.

Born in Lambeth, Campbell-Ryce was understood to be keen to return south and saw Barnet as an ideal opportunity.

Barnet kick off their new league campaign this weekend when they face Cambridge at the Abbey Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
