Aston Villa transfer target Lasse Vigen Christensen won’t be leaving Fulham during this month’s transfer window, according to Kit Symons.

The 20-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of Villa boss Paul Lambert and the Premier League outfit are thought to be preparing a £5million bid.

Whites chief Symons though is adamant any offer for the midfielder would be rebuffed.

“It won’t be happening,” said Symons.

“He’s really enjoying it at Fulham; he’s thriving and playing some great football and improving all the time. We love having him.”

Christensen missed Monday night’s 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion through injury but Symons reckons the Dane could return against Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday.

“Surprisingly, Lasse trained on Friday,” he added.

“I didn’t think for one minute he’d be fit but he’s incredibly keen to play and be involved. We’ll wait and see if there’s any reaction but he could well feature.”
