Alexandre Pato has arrived at Heathrow Airport to complete his move to Chelsea and says the switch to England is the realisation of a dream.

The Brazilian forward left Guarulhos international airport in Sao Paulo late last night and touched down in London this afternoon as he prepares to join the Blues.

Pato is set to be whisked off to the club’s Cobham training base in Surrey to undergo a medical and tie up the loose ends of his loan move to the Premier League.

Chelsea will pay Corinthians £30,000-a-week until the end of the season

Pato told Sky Sports: “I’m so happy. I stay here for my dream. Chelsea is my new home.

“Thanks to Chelsea for support. Thanks to my fans for support on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

“I need to play. I don’t know what to say because I’m so happy.

“I’m very anxious [to play] and I want to know my new friends and players in the team.

“I really want to play in Chelsea."

Pato will provide back-up of Diego Costa and joins fellow Brazilians Willian, and Oscar at Stamford Bridge.
