Hayes and Yeading United came away with a point from a six goal thriller with Eastleigh in the Blue Square Conference South clash on Saturday at the Silverlake Stadium.

The home side shocked United by racing into a 2-0 lead within the first eight minutes with goals from Anthony Riviere and James Brown.

However, United then hit back and were on level terms by the interval as the prolific Josh Scott struck twice in the 30th and 36th minutes.

Kieran Knight then fired United ahead just two minutes into the second half before Eastleigh's Brown netted his second of the afternoon on 53 minutes to make it 3-3.

United went close on several occasions to snatching the win but in the end had to settle for a point as they dropped to fifth in the table but only two points behind new leaders Chelmsford City.
