DIVISION ONE SOUTH AND WEST: Uxbridge 4 Slough Town 0

Three goals in 13 second half minutes emphatically ended Slough Town hopes of taking anything away from Honey-croft.

Uxbridge already led through Chris Robinson's first goal for the club when Danny Tilbury and Lee Tunnell, who struck twice to make it four goals in three games, fired the Reds to their second biggest win of the season.

David Warner could even afford to miss a late penalty as Uxbridge climbed to ninth spot.

A nervy start from both sides ended when Dave Thomas delivered a long crossfield pass to Kevin Warner and he nodded it down for Robinson to strike a 19th minute opener past Jamie Jackson.

A shot from Johnny Dyer, making his first appearance in seven weeks due to suspension, almost led to the hosts immediately doubling the lead as Jackson fumbled but he recovered before Tunnell could pounce.

Slough took until just before half-time to register their first effort on goal when Yashwa Romeo curled a hopeful shot towards the top corner but Gary Ross turned it away for a corner and the keeper saved low down from the same man, either side of a Kevin Warner volley that tested Jackson.

Eight minutes into the second half, however, Uxbridge seized control.

A disastrous clearance by Jackson fell to Tilbury and with the keeper out of position the midfielder found the net via the post from 35 yards out.

Five minutes later Tunnell produced a polished finish to find the top corner and after Ross denied Roy Gumbs with a top drawer save, Tunnell grabbed his second and Uxbridge's fourth.

Substitute Wayne Carter sent Tunnell clear and he slotted past Jackson to heap further misery on Slough, who contained a number of former Reds in their ranks including Luke Evans, Chris Fermie and Danny Jordan.

Dean Harper's push on David Warner gave the striker the chance to make it 5-0 but he saw his attempt saved.
