Harry Redknapp has washed his hands of Loic Remy and Adel Taarabt by admitting he wants neither back at QPR.

The manager has for the first time banished thoughts that a season in the top flight would herald the return of the pair now at Newcastle and Fulham.

In not so many words, it clearly sits deep with Harry the duo wanted to ditch the sunken ship of Rangers Premier League relegation in the first place.

An £8m deal is in place to take Remy permanently to the North East, while Taarabt’s future with Fulham depends on what the mercurial Moroccan does with the Whites this season.

Either way, Redknapp reckons all bridges between Rangers and the pair are burned.

He said: “Loic wanted to go to Newcastle so good luck to him, and I hope he does well. He’s not in my thoughts because I only want people who want to be here. That goes for Taarabt and all the others that are out on loan – I hope they stay there and get a contract there.”
