Harry Redknapp has nailed his Premier League colours firmly to the Liverpool mast.

Ditching loyalties to west London and Chelsea’s tilt for title, the Rangers boss hopes the Mersey reds remain on top to take their first Championship in 24 years.

As his own side prepares for a month that hopefully ends in Wembley play-off glory, Redknapp welcomes a change at elite’s top table.

He said: “I’d like to see Liverpool win it; Chelsea and Manchester City have won it; and last week was the most emotional in a long while there, and with the anniversary of Hillsborough, it would be fitting.”
