Verdict

Fulham did just enough to make it through to the next round courtesy of a goal from Alex Kacaniklic in the second half.

It was a superb run from Ben Pringle that provided the chance for the Swedish international to sweep into the net to the delight of 1,500 travelling fans.

But there were precious few other chances, and there could be very bad news for Jack Grimmer.

The right-back dived into a tackle in the second half and stayed down. It looked nothing at the time, but the need for a stretcher and legs strapped together looked ominous.

First Half

Ross McCormack screwed a shot just wide from the far right, but the miss of the match came from Wycombe's Garry Thompson.

Five yards out and not a White in sight he blasted over into the grateful arms of the Fulham fans.

Second half

Fulham upped a gear and brought on Matt Smith by choice as well as giving a debut to Finn Sakari Mattila.

Jazz Richards came on for the stricken Grimmer, and although Wycombe heaved and shoved at the end, the one goal was always going to be enough.
