Wealdstone’s rise up the Conference South table continued on Sunday as they ended 2014 with an excellent point at big-spenders Bromley.

The Stones are now unbeaten in nine and head into their New Year’s Day fixture with Sutton, who they held on Boxing Day, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

That is a healthy margin given their early-season form which put manager Gordon Bartlett’s position under pressure and had supporters tearing their hair out.

Tricky forward Moses Ademola opened the scoring for Bromley at the weekend to send the 1,239 home crowd wild at the Courage Stadium.

However, it was returning hero Richard Jolly who rolled back the years who grabbed his side a share of the spoils with the Stones equaliser just four minutes later.

Bartlett will be pleased to sign off for the year with this result against a team tipped for promotion and only two points off top-of-the-table Boreham Wood.
