NORTHWOOD U18s produced a rousing performance to edge out Woking and book their place in the last eight of the Lucas Fettes Youth Cup on Wednesday night.
Town, who have reserved their best form for the cup this season, had Adam Wais to thank for grabbing the all-important goal, as the team added to victories over Metropolitan Police and Bedfont Sports earlier in the competition.
The victory over Woking, whose first team play in the Conference Premier, sets up Woods for a quarter-final tie at Sutton United as they bid to land the Ryman League’s youth cup.
The cup has come as much needed respite for Town, who remain winless in the Ryman Youth League this season and languish in eighth place out of 10 in the table.
