Fulham 1-4 Brentford

Stuart Dallas etched himself into Brentford folklore as his two goals gave the Bees a win over west London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Northern Irishman gave Brentford the lead midway through the first half as he rifled in a shot from the edge of the area that left goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli motionless as the ball fizzed into the far corner.

And, just before the hour mark, Dallas unleashed an unstoppable shot past the England U21 international to make it 2-0.

However, seven minutes later, Toumani Diagouraga was adjudged to have brought down James Husband in the box with Ross McCormack sending goalkeeper David Button the wrong way.

Alan Judge secured the points in the final minute as he was fouled on the edge of the area. He dusted himself down and curled the ball in off the crossbar.

Strike: Dallas makes it 1-0

There was still time for Jota, scorer of a stoppage time winner against the same opposition, to add a fourth to secure another memorable result in what is a memorable season for Brentford, leaving Fulham looking over their shoulder going into the final games.

The home side made the stronger start and Alex Kacaniklic caused the Brentford defence problems, turning Harlee Dean inside and out but goalkeeper David Button was on hand to make a strong save.

Ryan Tunnicliife was the next to test the visiting defence but the former Manchester United man was stopped from pulling the trigger by a brilliant tackle from James Tarkowski.

The Cottagers were unable to maintain their intensity and Brentford started to come into the game with Dallas testing the England U21 international from distance.

The Bees had the lead as Jack Grimmer stopped chasing down a ball, allowing Jake Bidwell to pick it up before it went out of play.

Celebrate: Dallas is congratulated

The full back found Dallas who gave himself space before rifling a powerful shot past Bettinelli to send the 6,151 Brentford fans who made the short trip into raptures.

Back came Fulham and Kacaniklic curled a shot over the bar from long range as the home side knocked on the door but there was nobody at home to let them in.

Alex Pritchard nearly made it 2-0 10 minutes before the break but his free-kick was just wide of the post, with another effort going deep into the Hammersmith End.

Brentford came out stronger in the second half and doubled their lead just before the hour mark as Dallas fired a bullet into the top corner from 25 yards.

Happy: Mark Warburton

Fulham were handed a lifeline as Diagouraga brought down Husband, although replays suggested the Frenchman got plenty of the ball. McCormack stepped up and sent Button the wrong way.

The goal lifted the home side and they started knocking on the door again but Button was on hand to deal with the shots that came his way.

Fulham had a better penalty shout when Matt Smith was bundled over by Tarkowski but referee Simon Hooper turned it down.

Brentford sealed the victory in the final minute of normal time as Judge curled a free kickover the wall and into the net from 25 yards to seal the points.

They rubbed Fulham's nose in it as Jota fired home in stoppage time to put the seal on the victory.
