Everton 3-1 QPR

QPR's miserable away record continued as they slumped to defeat at Goodison Park.

Goals from Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith sent the R's crashing to their eight loss in a row on the road, despite Bobby Zamora's late consolation.

Harry Redknapp made four changes from the side that beat Burnley last time out, with Mauricio Isla, Matt Phillips, Jordon Mutch and Junior Hoilett coming into the side.

The visitors made a solid start but their resistance was finally broken just after the half-hour mark.

Barkley exchanged passes with Romelu Lukaku before driving forward and smashing the ball into the top corner, with the aid of a deflection off Isla.

The Hoops were dealt another big blow on the strike of half-time when Mirallas's free-kick cannoned off the head of Eduardo Vargas to leave Rob Green stranded.

Hammer blow: Kevin Mirallas scores Everton's second

Everton added a third eight minutes after the break to leave the R's with a mountain to climb. Aiden McGeady put the ball on a plate for Naismith, who nodded the ball in at the back stick.

The visitors pulled one back 10 minutes from time when Zamora scored his first goal if the season after Tim Howard could only parry Mutch's shot.

Samuel Eto'o almost added a fourth in added time, but his strike came back off the post.
